- I looked at every page upon the arrival of this gorgeous book, but I kept returning to it, intrigued by the depth with which each project is described, like stores in an anthology. The photography is superb, the layout elegant, and some of the projects are even accompanied by floor plans - a particular treat. But what speaks loudest is hinted at by the book's title The Art of Place, as this is place-making at its best. I will treasure this one for years and stockpile it for holiday gifting.
